French restaurant in Saigon Vietnam

Anyone who’s been eating noodles and asian soups for a couple of days or weeks loves to get a nice european three courses meal.

Last night, I’ve had diner at La Brasserie a French restaurant in Saigon, Vietnam.
The atmosphere is casual and you will feel invited to participate to the conversations at the bar in English or French depending on the days.

The dining area is separated from the bar area by a large aquarium which will fascinate your kids if they come along, so feel free to take your children around as they will also enjoy the garden of the restaurant.

A three course meal typically costs less than 30 usd, which is a no brainer give the quality of the dishes prepared by French chef Christophe who often goes from one table to another to make sure his customers are completely satisfied.

The service girls are friendly and really try hard to do well which is enjoyable given how rare this seems to be in Vietnam restaurants.

I definitely recommend this place to get a nice evening in one of the most relaxing area of Saigon (district 7).

In a slightly different style, you will also enjoy having a laugh at the bar of the K cafe.
It is located in the busy heart of Ho chi minh city / Saigon.

Even though the place is smaller than La Brasserie and definitely not as relaxing, it still offers a variety of French and international dishes, hamburgers etc.. at a very cool price.

This bar restaurant is right in the middle of the backpackers area (district 1) and is surrounded by bars run by Vietnamese, some of them being places to meet girls for fun..
